Why Couples Who Travel Together Stay Together

There are many ways to get to know your partner, and traveling together is one of the best. As we journey with those we love, we are reminded of what it means to compromise, to communicate, to have pure, undiluted fun—all the makings of a strong relationship, and all the more reason to plan your next motorcycle trip for the two of you.

A common purpose unites couples

Where is it you and your loved one want to go? What do you want to do? Even if your tastes or preferences are different, the desire to get out there and see the world together is a strong bond that will take you far: from planning your journey, preparing, packing, and counting down the days, to sharing inside jokes and photos when you return.

Communication becomes easier and healthier

Disagreements can happen often and easily in the bubble of our everyday lives. The glory of travel is that it offers perspective; a chance to see the bigger picture and focus on the other in a more understanding, patient, and loving way.

They get uncomfortable—and then adjust

Traveling is not always comfortable, just as relationships are not. Sometimes it’s hot; sometimes it’s raining; sometimes you get sick as a dog. Discomfort reveals our strengths and weaknesses. More importantly, it shines a light on the complementary nature of love. Your partner helps you, and you help your partner. You work through the uncomfortable stretches and keep riding.

New experiences reveal new dimensions

If you’re in need of more reasons to appreciative the person you love, take a trip, because travel is revealing. You’ll come home having discovered new talents, new preferences, and new sides of the person you thought you already knew well.

Living in the moment

Ultimately, couples who travel together stay together because they never lose sight of what it means to live in the moment—to be blissfully happy, unburdened, and driven by love and adventure. Couples who travel together build their lives upon the joy of exploration, the beauty of what is discovered on the road, and the gratitude for each moment they get to spend together.

Motorcyclists seeking a couples-centric trip will bask in our European Romance tour. From July 27 to August 9, 2017, you and your loved one will be immersed in the architecture, cuisine, and history of Central Europe: Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Highlights include a Prague day trip, canoeing, medieval castles, winery tours, and more, as well as a support vehicle to transport your luggage. Another plus for couples is that we stay two nights in each town, so you can choose to ride or enjoy yourself off bike.

Many of Blue Rim Tours’ other trips are equally well-suited for couples, though no support vehicle is included. Our belovedFive-Country Tour departs from Munich, Germany, on August 21 and returns September 1, 2016. This route, for experienced riders, offers incredible Alpine roads and rich local history. Similarly, Top of Europe, from June 7-21, 2016 takes riders through France, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Not sure exactly what you’re looking for?
