The Four Corners Tour combines the wide-open expanse of Arizona, the tranquil deserts of New Mexico, the rugged Colorado Rockies, as well as the majesty of Utah’s Monument Valley. Four Corners is named for the spot in the American Southwest where four states meet. It is an intersection not only of four states, but a meeting point of prehistoric landscapes, indigenous people, majestic mountains, and modern evolution—especially in terms of exceptional riding on well-maintained roads.
The Four Corners Blue Rim Tour offers an especially rare view of this great country’s diversity from the seat of a motorcycle. Exploring this region on two wheels provides a unique riding experience, allowing for a closer connection to its exquisite natural wonders and an appreciation for the natural beauty that transcends the dynamic—and sometimes harsh—landscape. From Monument Valley to the Rocky Mountains, and the Grand Canyon to White Sands National Monument, you will ride through a rich tapestry of American history for a truly memorable motorcycling experience.
As an added bonus the tour includes riding Colorado’s serpentine “Million Dollar Highway,” an idyllic motorcycle route, which snakes through the Rocky Mountains. With true million-dollar views, this 50-mile stretch starts in Durango, CO and winds its way through grand vistas of unequaled beauty and abandoned mining facilities, arriving in the quirky town of Ouray, the ice-climbing capital of the world.
Starting and ending in Albuquerque, New Mexico this 14-day vacation (of which eleven are full ride days) will traverse an amazingly full 2,050 miles, with ride days averaging a comfortable and leisurely 185 miles. The tour was specifically planned around a mild time of year, with average daytime temperatures of 80˚F, making for optimum riding weather. Join us for the adventurer’s essential American Southwest road trip.

The dynamic landscape of the American Southwest has captivated adventurers, dreamers, and romantics alike for centuries. The rugged beauty of the geography plays into the wanderlust inherent in the motorcycle enthusiast. And for that Blue Rim Tours created the Four Corners Tour, which takes participants on a 2,050-mile trek through Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona on an exquisite ten day ride through iconic and alluring scenery that has inspired movies, poems, songs, travelers, and dreams, firmly planting an idyllic notion of true, awe-inspiring escape.
A packed, yet fully enjoyable schedule takes lucky participants through the majestic Monument Valley and magical Mesa Verde National Park, over portions of legendary Route 66, across the historic Hoover Dam, into mystical Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and the motorcycle gem of roads; the famous “Million Dollar Highway,” which winds its way through the stunning Colorado Rockies with superlative motorcycle riding to the unique town of Ouray (ice climbing capital of the world). The tour also visits Gooseneck State Park, Prescott National Forest, Petrified Forest National Park, Lake Powell, and Antelope Canyon. The tour gets its name from the point in the American Southwest where four states come together; Four Corners. The tour is a dynamic juxtaposition of prehistoric landscapes, natural wonders, indigenous people, majestic mountains, and modern evolution in the form of Hoover Dam, with contemporary highways tying it all together.
Starting and ending in Las Vegas, this 13-day vacation—designed for moderate skill level riders and limited to 6 – 12 motorcycles—comprises 10 full ride days and one rest day (with two travel days). Taking advantage of the mild June weather grants perfect motorcycling temperatures averaging 80˚ F, dropping as low as 50˚ on stunning mountain passes that go as high as 10,000 ft. The Four Corners Tour unfolds primarily on two-lane roads and moves at a comfortable pace to ensure these gems of aesthetics can be thoroughly enjoyed.
The Four Corners Tour was created for riders who prefer to be aboard their own motorcycles, making this quintessential American Southwest road trip an intensely personal experience. Accommodations
The hotels are three- and four-star establishments. You will appreciate the modern amenities of the hotels juxtaposed against the rich, Old West settings. We will either eat breakfast at the hotel or travel to a restaurant nearby before starting our tour for the day. We will stop for lunch while on the road, and in the evenings, we will stop for dinner on the way to the hotel or eat at the hotel restaurant. Casual clothes for evenings are fine; there’s no need for formal wear.
If you trailer your bike to Las Vegas, then you can park the trailer securely on the first hotel's parking lot.
Group Size
The group will be between 6 and 12 riders.
Roads and Traffic
Most of the tour route will involve two-lane, asphalt roads. There will be increased traffic and possibly some parking challenges at National Park Service locations. Road surfaces are generally in very good condition, except for some of the less maintained, more remote roads. There will be frequent curves and elevation changes on many of the routes. Several mountain passes will exceed 10,000 feet. The pace will be kept moderate with frequent stops at historic sites and for comfort as needed.
Bringing Your Own Motorcycle
We will be riding at least 2,050 miles or 3,299 km during this tour. Please make sure that your motorcycle is properly serviced beforehand. Tires should have adequate tread life remaining.

A rental motorcycle is not included. If you plan to rent one, Blue Rim Tours recommends the following rental company:
EagleRider Motorcycle Rentals

Weather
Because we will be riding in high desert and mountainous terrain, temperatures can fluctuate significantly, likely range between 50 and 80 degrees, but possibly cooler at the high mountain passes. Dress in several layers so you can easily adjust to changing weather conditions. In case of heavy rain or other inclement weather, we will choose the shortest route to the next hotel whenever possible.
