Join us for an early fall tour through America’s verdant Mid-Atlantic region, where so many of the epic battles of the Civil War raged. The tour combines bucolic scenery and charming country byways with back-in-time villages and historic sites that bore witness to a violent conflict that changed the course of American history.
The tour will begin and end in Shepherdstown, WV. It will be led by RoadRUNNER Magazine’s
photo-journalist and in-house historian, Jim Parks, who has many years of riding experience in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will do your fair share of riding on this tour, but Jim will also give tours off the bikes through battlefields and historic sites. A daily itinerary, route maps, and other briefing materials will be sent to participants in advance. Each day will begin with a short breakfast-time briefing of the upcoming day’s highlights. Riders will be on their own motorcycles or on rental bikes for those flying in for this one-of-a-kind, all-American Blue Rim tour.
